CNC-controlled cutting patterns can be completed quickly on a wide range of stainless steel alloys while maintaining a low Ra surface roughness. While a standard surface roughness of approximately 60 Ra is typical, a lower roughness of ~16 Ra is possible, allowing us to offer our valued customers a truly customized end product.
The most important advantage of using wire EDM is that this method can provide high dimensional accuracy for close-fitting parts. The process can make sharp inside corners. EDM can cut material thickness from only a few thousandths of an inch to several inches. Custom tooling is generally not needed regardless of your unique specifications of pattern, shape, or application. Laser machining is not limited to just cutting. Other operations include marking, drilling and welding. Wire EDM offers advantages like minimal tool wear, no mechanical forces on the workpiece, and the ability to machine delicate and intricate features, making it a valuable tool in modern manufacturing.
